Well, it’s Friday night and I’m working another “Family Fun Friday Night” at Aqua Adventure, the new waterpark in Fremont. To quote the many animals with menial jobs in “The Flintstones,” “eh, it’s a living.” Anyway, it’s a busy night and I’m waiting for my baby mama-to-be to get here, at which time we will feast on “dollar dogs.” Ah, Friday date nights. I’m sure after the Ginker arrives we’ll look back at times like this with great fondness.
One thing that kind of scares me on nights like this is that there have been several radio alerts for missing kids. They’ve all been found within five minutes, and the staff takes these instances very seriously, but as a father-to-be, it’s a pretty scary thought to think about your child going missing. The good news is that at the waterpark the communications is instant, and the gates get shut down immediately. So, the chance of a kid going missing from here for real is pretty slim. Hopefully, I haven’t just jinxed it.
